ADBA (The American Dog Breeders Association, Inc)


ADBA (The American Dog Breeders Association, Inc.) была зарегистрирована в сентябре 1909 г a multiple breed association(view original documentation here). The residing president, Mr. Guy McCord, was an avid fancier and breeder of the American Pit Bull Terrier, and was a close friend of Mr. John P. Colby. Mr. Colby was the mainstay of the A.D.B.A. which prompted the boast of being the "home" registration office of the Colby dogs. All members, in good standing, could register their dogs and litters with the registration department upon the yearly payment of $2.50 dues fee. It seems that the exclusive members idea gradually was replaced into an open registry of multiple breeds and over time the association focused on the registration of the APBT.

В 1996 году был создан Национальный клуб «Американский стаффордширский терьер». Зарегистрирован в РКФ как НКП 25 марта 1996 года за №002. В мае 1997 года состоялась первая Национальная выставка АСТ.

Сегодня Национальный клуб «АСТ» объединяет более 80 организаций (клубов и питомников) от Калининграда до Хабаровска, не имеет региональных отделений, только прямое членство.

НК АСТ член Терьер-Союза России, который представляет Россию в международной организации INTERRA. НК АСТ установлены отношения с STCA.

Условие членства – секции АСТ клубов или питомники, специализирующиеся на разведении американских стаффордширских терьеров.

Важным моментом сегодня клуб считает деятельность против запрета породы, выступая в защиту амстаффов, как породы, в России и за рубежом, сотрудничает с клубами породы в других странах, региональными кинологическими изданиями, оказывая им информационную поддержку, стремится к объединению любителей породы, ведёт статистику и зоотехнический анализ состояния поголовья.

Национальный клуб «АСТ» ежегодно проводит около 40 сертификатных специализированных монопородных выставок АСТ, в том числе и благотворительного характера, Национальную выставку и всероссийские выставки - Кубки НКП. Национальная выставка является главной выставкой породы, на этой выставке присуждается почётный титул «Чемпион Национального клуба породы», который также можно получить при наборе сертификатов, принимая участие только в выставках НКП.

Staffordshire Terrier Club of America

The Staffordshire Terrier Club of America (STCA) is a sincere and active organization promoting and protecting the interests of this breed. The STCA was formed in 1936 and is a member club of the American Kennel Club.

STCA membership is open to fanciers who are interested in establishing a more uniform breed type, exhibiting at AKC dog shows, obedience and agility trials, developing the desirable traits of our breed, protecting the interests of the breed, and who would like to have a part in promoting interest for the breed in general. It is also open to those who merely love the breed for what it is and seek friendship with fellow fanciers.

We publish a club newsletter/magazine four times a year, sponsor various awards, support American Staffordshire Terrier breed rescue efforts, sponsor specialty shows, provide educational materials and opportunities, and promote responsible dog ownership and breeding.
